I haven't been great about continuing to do these updates. It's hard when I'm not sure exactly what to talk about. So much of my month involves just trying to do art, and that's not always easy to talk about. Or at least hard in, yep I spent hours staring at my screen trying to get art done sort of way. That's not always something that's particularly compelling.
I'm working on defining these updates, and the Patron exclusive ones, so I have a clear picture of what's what and how I can clarify that for everyone. It's also me choosing names and sticking with them. Being able to search things is important, yo. And makes my lists more clear.
On that note, to make it official - digital wallpapers for $5+ Patrons will go up at the start of each month. September's will go live in the morning on the 2nd.
In the art world, I've been working on the Garden piece. Patrons of all levels will see the full progress I made this month (in a gif 😮) but I don't want to leave everyone out. Art is about the visuals. I need to share something, right? This is where I ended this month.
There used to be a background, but I was finding the color and everything just wasn't working right. I liked it a lot better when I went back to the white background so I took that as a sign I needed to do something else. Figuring that out is a goal for September. Finishing is the goal for September. I think I can finish in September? I'm really hoping for it. I have good feelings.
I completed a commission this month! If you need a token for your TCG playing needs, let me know! Generally my commissions are very open, especially if you don't have a short deadline. For all sorts of stuff, not just this, but here is another thing that I can do. *waves hands wildly*
A pattern I completed got released into the wild this month after the spoonflower contest ended. I may have finished it in mid-July, but you know secrets. I kind of really love it on stuff? (Yes this is an excuse to link to Society6 but I also really do like it on things.) Maybe it's the color choices, but it feels like 90s Nickelodeon in a way I wasn't specifically going for, but feel I found.
Outside of secret sketches that was most of my work this month. Those sketches will get released into the wild in time, likely closer to when the Garden is near finished, but Patrons of all levels get to see them now.
When you put it all in a list feels more significant. Huh.
Oh and I made 500+ followers on twitter? That was a thing I did this month that feels kind of unreal.
Outside of art I am going to be at PAX West this weekend. Only Saturday and Sunday, but I'll be there! So, uh I dunno? Come say hi awkwardly? I'm going to look at games and see friends.
I feel good going forward. I'm excited about these new projects. I don't want to go into too much detail, or jinx it just yet, but I'm feeling good. It's not going to be without work, but I have a good feeling.
